The Ministry of Finance (MOF) is conducting a public consultation to seek views on the proposed Multinational Enterprise (Minimum Tax) Bill and Income Tax (Amendment) Bill 2024. The proposed Multinational Enterprise (Minimum Tax) Bill and the subsidiary legislation will implement a Domestic Top-up Tax ("DTT") and the Income Inclusion Rule ("IIR") under Pillar Two of the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting ("BEPS") 2.0 initiative, as announced in the 2024 Budget Statement on 16 February 2024.
Join AmCham for a roundtable discussion on Tuesday, June 25, to review and raise any issues or concerns on the proposed Multinational Enterprise (Minimum Tax) Bill and Income Tax (Amendment) Bill. Depending on member feedback, AmCham may consolidate and submit AmCham feedback to MOF.
If you have any written feedback on the proposed Bills, you are welcome to send the feedback to the External Affairs Team at ea@amcham.com.sg by Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
