Corporate diversity, equity and inclusion policies are increasingly going beyond gender and culture to now supporting different cognitive abilities and thinking styles. Currently, between 10-20 percent of the population is neurodivergent according to research by Deloitte, a significant percentage from a talent perspective. With severe talent shortages on the horizon driven by low birth rates and persistent skills gaps, companies need to cast wider nets and be more inclusive in recruitment strategies to access overlooked communities in the talent pool.
Neurodiversity can be a competitive advantage if neurodivergent employees are embraced and supported in ways that allow them to thrive and unlock their unique strengths. These individuals often have enhanced problem-solving skills, higher productivity, and heightened creativity. Unfortunately, the full potential of neurodivergent individuals often remains untapped due to inadequate workplace support and understanding, as well as rigid recruitment processes that are built for neurotypical employees.
Join our Guest of Honor Mayor Denise Phua and our panel of experts who will explore how companies can foster an inclusive workplace that empowers differently abled individuals, the role of leaders in supporting neurodivergent team members, and how inclusive recruitment practices can tap into a broader talent pool.
