Event Details
This year's AmCham Women Elevate Symposium features Guest of Honor Dr. Kanwaljit Soin, Singapore's first female orthopaedic surgeon and first female Nominated Member of Parliament. Dr. Soin is also a founding member of the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE), founding chair of the Singapore chapter of the United Nations Development Fund for Women, and founding president of the Women's Initiative for Aging Successfully (WINGS). She is in the Singapore Women's Hall of Fame for her many contributions in advancing women's rights.
The symposium will feature the recently launched book Why Not? Thinking About Singapore's Tomorrow, co-edited by Dr. Soin and Margaret Thomas. The book shares 36 essays from 45 diverse writers on their visions of Singapore's future and includes notable leaders such as Teo You Yenn, Stefanie Yuen Thio, Corinna Lim, Mary Ann Tsao and more.
Why not join AmChamSG for an inspiring discussion with Dr. Soin on building a society where both women and men can make meaningful contributions, realize their vision, and live the life they want?
