AmCham is pleased to announce a new series of government engagement: The U.S. Government Brown Bag Series.
This series aim to strengthen ties between the U.S. Government and the American business community in Singapore. Before COVID-19 shut down borders, AmCham regularly partnered with the U.S. Embassy to host visiting delegations of the U.S. government. These engagements were valuable opportunities for American businesses to receive direct policy and business-related updates from the U.S. government, and to share on the opportunities and challenges of operating in the region. With the Biden administration forging ahead with new appointments and policies that will impact this region, it is important for the American community abroad to maintain its links back home.
Through this new series, AmCham aims to renew its regular engagements with the U.S. Government to support a strong and resilient American business presence in the Asia Pacific region.
Join us as we speak to Geoffrey Tan, Managing Director, Asia Pacific from U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. The DFC is the development finance institution of the United States federal government, primarily responsible for providing and facilitating the financing of private development projects in lower- and middle-income countries. Read more at www.dfc.gov.
Geoffrey will speak to the DFC's priorities and projects in the region as well as his own career journey through this remarkable organization.
