Women in Diplomacy is a fireside series that spotlights women ambassadors to Singapore. The aim of the series is to initiate and foster greater engagement between business leaders from within AmCham's membership and the women Heads of Mission to Singapore and to further deepen contacts between the diplomatic corps and the business community.
Join us as we hear the candid views of Ambassadors on the evolving nature of diplomacy and how greater gender diversity contributes to building and sustaining relationships between countries and territories.
For our third instalment of this series, we are honoured to have two Heads of Mission
- H.E. Rukhsana Afzaal, Pakistan's High Commissioner to Singapore
- H.E. Sumadhurika Sashikala Premawardhane, Sri Lanka's High Commissioner to Singapore
This session will include addresses by both High Commissioners, followed by a moderated fireside chat with Shakilla Shahjihan, AmCham Board Governor and Divisional Vice President, Government Affairs, Asia Pacific & Japan with Abbott Laboratories, Singapore.
We have invited both High Commissioners to speak to their journeys as senior diplomats of their respective countries and to share their experiences navigating challenges and opportunities and their vision for greater involvement of women in their Foreign Ministries.
Please note as per MOH guidelines from 14 Feb 2022, persons aged 18 years and above who have completed the primary vaccination series and are eligible for booster vaccination will be considered as fully vaccinated for 270 days after the last dose in their primary vaccination series.
