AmCham Singapore is delighted to host Dr. Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Communications and Information and the Ministry of Health for the fourth and final session of the Balestier Series 2023. The Balestier Series is a key part of the Chamber's year-long 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
During the session, Dr. Janil will speak about Singapore's efforts to ensure that all Singaporeans thrive in our digital future, and highlight Singapore's role as a digital connectivity hub. He will share the importance of partnering with the industry on tech – including AI, cybersecurity and data – so that everyone can seize new and exciting opportunities in the digital economy.
The Balestier Series hosts distinguished Singaporean leaders from key sectors and Singapore Ministers who address AmCham members on subjects of significance. Launched in 2014, AmCham's Balestier Series celebrates two centuries of economic and commercial exchange between Singapore and the United States. The Series is named after Joseph Balestier, the first consul to Singapore for the United States who served from 1837 to 1852.
