The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) have launched a public consultation on the recommendations by the Sustainability Reporting Advisory Committee (SRAC) to advance climate reporting in Singapore. The recommendations of SRAC aim to uphold Singapore's attractiveness as a global business hub while contributing to its national agenda on sustainable development under the Singapore Green Plan 2030. The SRAC have made the following key recommendations:
1. Mandatory climate reporting from FY2025 for all Listed Issuers
2. Mandatory climate reporting from FY2027 for Large Non-Listed Companies
3. Prescribed standards aligned with the ISSB requirements for climate reporting
4. External assurance requirements
5. Reporting and Filing Timelines
Join AmCham for a roundtable discussion on Tuesday, September 5, to review and raise any issues or concerns on the key recommendations and roadmap for advancing sustainability reporting by companies in Singapore. Depending on member feedback, AmCham may consolidate and submit AmCham feedback to ACRA and SGX RegCo thereafter.
If you have any written feedback on the SRAC recommendations, you are welcome to send the feedback to the External Affairs Team at ea@amcham.com.sg.
