Event Details

AmCham will be hosting Director Mary Brett Rogers-Springs and Strategic Infrastructure Officer Sam Blumenthal from the Office of Economic Policy, Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, U.S. Department of State for a roundtable discussion on Tuesday, January 23, from 1:00pm-2:00pm.

Mary Brett and Sam are interested in engaging with AmCham members regarding infrastructure investment in the region, with a focus on the following:

  • Obtaining perspectives from firms operating or investing in infrastructure (including clean energy and digital infrastructure), including the most significant barriers to investment in the region and what governments in the region are (or are not) doing to address those barriers;
  • Discussing existing cooperation with the U.S. government on infrastructure investment (if any) and related gaps in these efforts; and
  • Providing an overview of the new PGI IPEF Investment Accelerator, which seeks to streamline infrastructure development and to scale high-standard project financing to drive economic growth in IPEF countries.
