Event Details

Join us on Friday mornings for a breakfast dialogue with our Board of Governors. This Series, Breakfast with the Board, features one AmCham Governor in each session, giving members the opportunity to hear about their professional journeys and their companies and engage with our Governors first-hand on how they became part of the AmCham community. The sessions will be moderated by AmCham CEO, Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei.

We will be hosting Adam Abdur Rahman, Managing Director, Corporate Affairs for Citi Singapore & ASEAN for our next session. Adam will share his insights on Citi's contributions to Singapore's role as a global financial hub and center for innovation, and Citi's focus on developing talent for the financial sector, while making a positive contribution to the community.

Adam Abdur Rahman

Managing Director, Head of Corporate Affairs, Citi Singapore & ASEAN at Citibank N.A., Singapore

Adam Rahman is the Head of Corporate Affairs for Citi in Singapore & ASEAN. In this role, Adam oversees all communications, reputational risk management and government relations functions. Adam has over 30 years of experience in the media and communications industry.

In addition to serving on the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, Adam is actively involved in the area of public service. He serves as a District Councillor of the South East Community Development Council (SECDC) of Singapore which assists the needy. Adam is also on the Board of the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. He is also a Council Member with the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, an independent think-tank in Singapore and serves on the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore.

In August of 2008, Adam was awarded the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) by the President of the Republic of Singapore as a national recognition of his contributions to the community. In November 2015, Adam received the Public Service Star (Bintang Bakti Masyarakat) from the President for rendering valuable public service to the people of Singapore. Adam was appointed a Justice of Peace by the President in April 2018.

Adam has a Masters in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent at Canterbury in the U.K and a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore, majoring in political science and philosophy.
