Tech Talks is a monthly series by the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Committee to explore a wide range of tech topics. Each session, the TMT Committee will be inviting experts for an introduction on technology trends you would like to know more about.
This month, we will be exploring the fast-paced innovations in AI. At the end of 2022, the AI platform ChatGPT took the world by storm, leading to questions on job security in sectors such as marketing and copywriting, its impact on student performance in institutions of higher learning, and the potential use of such AI technology in education, arts and the professional space. There are now more AI models being launched, with each one leapfrogging the next.
Such accelerated rate of growth and advancement in AI provides opportunities for continuous innovation in the tech space and for organizations to leverage AI tools to streamline and off-load work processes. However, it also brings the challenges of security, ethics, and copyright, as well as fluctuating efficacy in adaptation.
Join AmCham and an expert panel as we take stock of the current state of AI, its potential growth trajectory and the challenges that comes with it.
