The latest Omicron wave in Singapore saw spiking COVID-19 case numbers, leading to disruptions to businesses continuity plans and delaying the return to office. While the business community grows more resilient with each wave, more infected employees also raise the risk of a high number of the workforce suffering from "Long COVID". Some symptoms of Long COVID include difficulty breathing, rapid weakness, chest pain & chronic fatigue syndrome.
In Singapore, one in 10 people infected suffer Long COVID for more than six months. With over 800,000 cases in Singapore, a good size of the workforce may be at risk for Long COVID and other health issues due to COVID-19, such as lung scarring and fibrosis. The potential impact to productivity and employee wellbeing is significant. Long COVID would potentially force businesses to rethink their HR policies, employee benefits such as insurance, and extending work from home or flexi-hours arrangements.
Join us for this webinar as our expert panel share on what is Long COVID, how it affects employees and businesses, as well as how businesses can support employees with Long COVID and rethink HR policies in the face of ever-changing health situations.
