Event Details
AmChamSG is privileged to host Dr. Michel Poulain, Emeritus Professor at Universitรฉ catholique de Louvain and one of the pioneering founders of the Blue Zone concept.
In 2024, Singapore was officially recognized as the world's sixth Blue Zone due to its significant increase in life expectancy, intentional government policy and investment, and strong public health infrastructures. Blue Zones are regions of the world where people live significantly longer, healthier livesโoften well past the age of 100. These longevity hotspots include Sardinia (Italy), Okinawa (Japan), Nicoya (Costa Rica), Ikaria (Greece), and Loma Linda (California) all of which share common lifestyle and environmental factors that promote well-being and vitality.
Join AmChamSG for a dialogue on the science behind the Blue Zones concept, the implications of Blue Zone principles for modern society, and insights on building communities that not only live longer but better.
