AmChamSG is proud to host its inaugural Sustainability Forum with guest of honor Ravi Menon, SG Ambassador for Climate Action and Senior Advisor, National Climate Change Secretariat, Prime Minister's Office.

As sustainability shifts from aspiration to necessity, businesses face complex investment challenges and opportunities. The twin pressures of technological disruption and evolving regulations are reshaping how companies approach climate finance, risk management, and long-term value creation. At the same time, the cost of inaction continues to rise, making sustainable investment not just an ethical imperative but a financial necessity.

This forum will equip business leaders with a deeper understanding of climate finance—from demystifying funding mechanisms to exploring how financial institutions, governments, and businesses can work together to scale investment into sustainability. Experts will share insights on risk mitigation strategies, innovative financing models, and accessing capital to fund climate transition and adaptation. The discussion will also highlight how companies can leverage sustainability as a strategic opportunity for value creation.

[ADD-ON] Workshop on Southeast Asia's Green Economy 2025 Report

Following the Sustainability Forum, AmChamSG is partnering with Bain & Company, GenZero, Google, Standard Chartered, and Temasek to host a workshop on the Southeast Asia Green Economy Report.

The Southeast Asia Green Economy report is an annual joint undertaking between Bain & Company, GenZero, Google, Standard Chartered and Temasek to better understand the state of the green transition and how can government, the private sector, investors and innovators work together to accelerate climate and nature-positive actions. The 2025 report looked critically at where does “the prize” lie in this moment of great change and how can SEA harness this moment to catalyze economic growth, energy security, and climate action. A key element of this assessment focused on the wider opportunities for SEA to collaborate more directly with wider APAC partners to create and advance win-win solutions that unlock value and impact across the region.

As part of engagement with the wider business community, the report partners will be hosting a workshop to share and discuss this year’s findings. We seek to foster a dialogue around a number of themes from the report – the future grid, the bioeconomy, carbon markets, and Green AI – in a collaborative discussion that will focus on how we can move beyond the current moment to unlock SEA’s unrealized potential for the benefit of the region, its citizens, and the planet.

The session will encompass both a general session and some breakout deep dive sessions to allow for a richer exploration of the themes and challenges facing the region today.

Elaine Wu is Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Development at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence International.

Elaine leads a team with passion to drive cloud for innovation, powered by AI. She endeavors to evangelize Alibaba Cloud’s values and unwavering commitment to empowering customers as they navigate their digital transformation journeys through marketing roadmaps.

Before her current role, Elaine served in several leadership roles with Alibaba Group, including Director, Marketing & Sponsorship Management, CMO Office, Alibaba Group and Head of Alibaba Collaboration of University and Technology Ethics for Southeast Asia. Elaine led a strong and outstanding branding presence for Alibaba Cloud as Worldwide Cloud Service Partner in the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022, and Paris 2024. Her branding initiatives contributed to Alibaba Cloud being recognized by Forbes China as one of the "Top 30 Go-International Brands."

Mr Ravi Menon has a portfolio of work in sustainability, innovation, and inclusion.

Mr Menon is Singapore’s first Ambassador for Climate Action and Senior Adviser to the National Climate Change Secretariat at the Prime Minister’s Office. He plays a leading role in Singapore’s efforts to foster collective action internationally and transition planning locally towards a low-carbon future. He is also Chairman of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) Asia-Pacific Advisory Board and a member of the GFANZ Principals Group.

Mr Menon is Chairman of the Global Finance & Technology Network, a not-for-profit company which harnesses technology and fosters innovation for more efficient, resilient, and inclusive financial ecosystems globally. He is also a Trustee of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Chairman of its Innovation and Enterprise Committee; and a Senior Fellow at the Civil Service College.

Mr Menon is Chairman of ImpactSG, a start-up charity which aims to grow a community of purposeful givers in Singapore and Asia. He is also a Board Member of The Majurity Trust, a philanthropy which deploys cause-based funds to address social needs; and a Trustee of the Singapore Indian Development Association, a community self-help group.

Prior to his current roles, Mr Menon served for 36 years in the Singapore Public Service.

As Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (2011-23), Mr Menon oversaw monetary and macroprudential policies, reformed the financial regulatory framework, and developed Singapore as a green finance centre and a global FinTech hub. On the international front, he served as Chairman of the Network of Central Banks and Supervisors for Greening the Financial System and Chairman of the Financial Stability Board Standing Committee on Standards Implementation.

As Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade & Industry (2007-11), Mr Menon helped to steer the economy during the global financial crisis. As Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Finance (2003-07), he oversaw fiscal policy and government reserves.

Mr Menon is a recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal from the Singapore Government, the Distinguished Alumni Award from NUS, and the Distinguished Leadership and Service Award from the Institute of International Finance in Washington.

Mr Menon holds a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Economics from NUS.

Oi-Yee is the Chief Executive Officer of Climate Impact X (CIX), a global carbon market solutions provider headquartered in Singapore. She is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of CIX, as well as developing and executing the company’s vision and mission to accelerate environmental impact at scale through the carbon markets.

Oi-Yee is a seasoned, visionary leader with a background spanning 25 years in financial markets. She brings a wealth of experience in building and leading high-performing businesses across sectors, with a proven track record in fintech, innovation and capital markets.

Oi-Yee was most recently CEO of ADDX, a blockchain-based private capital markets exchange in Singapore licensed and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Under her leadership since 2020, ADDX strengthened its partnerships with global blue-chip companies and grew its platform to surpass US$1 billion in tokenised securities, one of the largest worldwide.

Prior to ADDX, Oi-Yee spent over 20 years in investment banking, leading major capital markets transactions for clients across Asia, Europe and the US. She has held leadership roles at Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Nomura and UBS.

Huey Lin is an experienced operator, investor, and board director with deep expertise in fintech, global trade, and emerging technologies. She currently serves on the boards of SGX, Hang Seng Bank, and Nium, and advises companies including Terraformation, Chainlink, Fin Capital, and Valon. Most recently, Huey was a Venture Partner at GGV Capital, where she supported early-stage investments and portfolio growth. Before that, she served as President of Asia for Flexport, overseeing regional P&L and expansion. Earlier in her career, she was the founding COO of Affirm, building and scaling the company’s operations from the ground up. Huey began her career at PayPal, where she was one of its first product managers and held leadership roles across product, risk, and international operations.

Kavitha Menon joined SSFA in October 2023 as its Director. As the head of SSFA, she is responsible for ensuring that the association achieves its mission of building a vibrant and inclusive ecosystem for sustainable finance in Singapore. Apart from the day-to-day running of the association, Kavitha’s role involves stakeholder engagement, membership recruitment, thought leadership, and enabling collaborations across the financial sector, non-financial sector, and government organisations to advance sustainable finance in Singapore.

Prior to her current role, Kavitha was the Global Head of Equity Research team at Foord Asset Management in Singapore where she headed their ESG integration process. She has over 15 years of experience in equity investment management, specialising in Global Financials, based out of Singapore and India.

Kavitha has a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, where she was a John F. Kennedy Fellow and Edward S. Mason Fellow. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance) from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (India) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Communication) from Anna University (India).

Kavitha is passionate about sustainable finance. Having analysed investments using a risk-return framework for all these years, she is keen to delve into ‘impact’ to marry investor returns with social and environmental good and drive that change in the financial markets.

Sunil is the regional head of sustainability for HSBC Commercial Banking Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore, Sunil leads the development and delivery of the Group's sustainability strategy to support global transition to net zero and the need to reduce our financed emissions. Sunil and his team work closely with HSBC's corporate clients, stakeholders and partners in Asia Pacific to deliver this ambition.

Sunil, a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of Mathematics, brings over 25 years of wholesale banking experience with HSBC, with stints in Indonesia, South Korea, the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.

Christine Amour-Levar is a French-Swiss-Filipina, Philanthropist, Record-Breaking Adventurer, Best-Selling Author and Human Rights & Sustainability Advisor. She started her professional journey working for Nike across the world and went on to build a global career as a marketing and communications expert and social entrepreneur intent on solving some of the world’s most pressing issues.

A passionate champion of female empowerment and environmental conservation, she founded not one, but two award-winning, non-profit organisations, Women on a Mission (WOAM) and HER Planet Earth, to bridge these two passions. Both take all-female teams on pioneering expeditions —with WOAM empowering and supporting women who have been subjected to violence and abuse, and HER Planet Earth raising funds for underprivileged women affected by climate change.

Dale Hardcastle leads Bain’s regional efforts in decarbonisation, climate investing and carbon markets across Southeast Asia.

Dale is co-director of Bain’s Global Sustainability Innovation Center (GSIC) in Singapore, a sustainability-focused center established to help companies accelerate the time to impact in their sustainability strategies and profitable path to a low-carbon economy.

He also leads Bain’s efforts to connect capital and scale carbon markets through innovative approaches for corporates, investors and resource holders and work with leading conservation organisations and sovereign and institutional investors.

This work to enable corporate climate action is backstopped by two decades of experience working across leading global energy and natural resource companies, food systems, mobility, private equity and technology players.  He has led scale transformation efforts – including those to address the energy transition, corporate venturing, de-carbonisation, sustainability, and the venture innovation.

Dale has worked on multiple strategic associations in APAC and globally with the World Economic Forum and the World Business Council on Sustainable Development on sustainability efforts.
Dale has more than 20 years of experience in the global oil, gas and chemicals sector, working primarily in the Asia Pacific region. Over this time, he has advised a range of clients including super majors and leading national oil companies (NOCs) across a range of oil and gas sectors on topics such as strategy, M&A, organization and performance improvement, and operational excellence.

He has led several major engagements helping clients rethink their strategies in response to the new oil price environment, drive material improvements in commercial and operational excellence, build transformational capabilities and define M&A strategies for growth.

Prior to joining Bain, Dale spent nearly a decade helping to found and build Schlumberger's E&P consulting business across Asia.

He earned a bachelor's in economics from George Washington University.

Keith oversees Temasek’s Ecosperity Office, the firm’s key platform for sustainability engagement and advocacy convening global leaders from the private and public sectors, academia and civil society to push the agenda on sustainable development. This includes Ecosperity Week, Southeast Asia’s biggest sustainability conference to drive policy and solutions-oriented discourse aligned with the firm’s strategic business priorities.

Concurrently the firm's Director of Public Affairs, Keith is responsible for all aspects of strategic as well as deal-focused communications around Temasek’s sustainability and ESG-centred investment and corporate activities.

A former news journalist with a passion for purpose-led storytelling, Keith is a strong advocate of transparency and authenticity in modern brand communications. He sits on the Advisory Board of the Sustainability Media Academy, a non-profit, first-of-its-kind platform that focuses on training the next generation of Asian media practitioners to tell the evolving climate story across the region. Keith was also a member of Alliance for Action on Corporate Purpose, led by Singapore’s National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, to co-design and co-develop the National Framework and Blueprint on Corporate Purpose.

Spencer Low is Google's cross-functional sustainability leader in Asia Pacific, the regional head of a global team that leads sustainability strategy and programs. He works with a broad range of stakeholders and is an active advocate for leveraging Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies to tackle critical sustainability challenges.

Previously Spencer was the Chief Sustainability Officer and CEO Travel Retail at the Singapore-listed aviation services and food solutions company SATS Ltd., where he was instrumental in transforming the company into a global leader in sustainability. Prior to that, he held senior management roles within the technology companies Booking Holdings and Rakuten Group after spending the first decade of his international career at Bain & Company. Spencer has served on the Board of Directors of KrisShop and currently chairs the Innovation task force of the United Nations ESCAP Sustainable Business Network.

Spencer holds a Master's degree in International Affairs from Sciences Po Paris in France and an MBA from the Ivey Business School in Canada. He is also both an alumnus and faculty member of the Cambridge Prince of Wales Business & Sustainability Programme. Spencer has lived and worked across Asia Pacific including Japan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and India.

With over 20 years of experience in sustainability, consulting, and finance, Umesh currently leads The Coca-Cola Company’s sustainable packaging initiatives across ASEAN and the South Pacific. He brings together cross-functional teams and partners to drive momentum and scale to achieve Coca-Cola’s sustainable packaging goals. His work includes efforts that establish strong Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs), advocating for effective policies, collaborating closely with various stakeholders in the region. Umesh leverages his diverse experience in the consumer goods, finance, and non-profit sectors to engage stakeholders and implement systems change initiatives that promote a circular economy. Before joining Coca-Cola, Umesh worked with The Circulate Initiative, Rabobank, and Euromonitor International, focusing on the consumer goods sectors.

Anshari is a Director in the Strategy and Development Group (Policy & Analytics) at GenZero, and he is responsible for providing thought leadership on policy, regulations and standards in support of GenZero’s investment activities.

Before GenZero, he was a climate change negotiator with the National Climate Change Secretariat under the Prime Minister’s Office. He had represented the Singapore Government at various multilateral fora such as the UNFCCC, UNCBD, IPCC and ASEAN. In total, Anshari has accumulated over 10 years of experience in multilateral negotiations and policymaking.

Anshari has coordinated whole-of-government initiatives such as Singapore’s updated Nationally Determined Contribution and carbon markets strategy. He was also the lead carbon markets negotiator for Singapore, and has co-chaired expert level negotiations on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement (international market and non-market based cooperation).

In terms of external appointments, Anshari currently sits on the Board of Verra. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Life Sciences).
