The Great Reshuffle has caused massive upheavals in the workforce. On the employee side, flexibility is a priority as employees have gotten use to skipping the long commute, spending more time with loved ones, and concentrating on their wellbeing. On the employer side, productivity is top of mind. COVID has shown that remote work is possible and businesses can drive productivity with work flexibility. However, onboarding new hires, communication and coordination in remote and hybrid teams, and maintaining company culture by encouraging employees to return to the office have been major challenges. Hybrid work can be a competitive advantage for businesses, if they can get it right. The big question is how can organizations make hybrid work work for them?
The conference will be a half-day, in-person event that kicks off with a fireside chat with our Guest of Honor, Dr. Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry. The results of AmCham's 10th annual Manpower Survey is out, so come and learn about major changes in workforce trends since last year, from work-pass approvals and rejections to perceived skill gaps of new hires.
