Join us on Friday mornings for a breakfast dialogue with our Board of Governors. This Series, Breakfast with the Board, will feature one AmCham Governor in each session, giving members the opportunity to hear about their professional journeys and their companies and engage with our Governors first-hand on how they became part of the AmCham community. The sessions will be moderated by AmCham CEO, Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei.

We will be hosting Glenn van Zutphen, Founder of VanMedia Group Pte Ltd, for our next session. Glenn will share insights on why he decided to become an international journalist and then communication consultant, living and working in Asia for nearly 30 years and the value he's found in being an AmCham Singapore member for the past decade.

Glenn Van Zutphen

Founder of VanMedia Group Pte Ltd

Glenn van Zutphen (He/Him) is a career international journalist and Founder of VanMedia Group Pte Ltd, a worldwide media consultancy. He has coached thousands of high-performing business leaders, journalists, government officials around the world to be confident, credible, and clear in their spoken, written, and virtual communication. Glenn is a recognized communications expert, keynote speaker, and meeting facilitator. He also hosts the “Saturday Mornings” radio show every week on MoneyFM 89.3, Singapore’s most trusted business news station.

For more than 25 years as a professional journalist, Glenn has worked in print, radio, television and online news based in the US Japan, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore. His work has appeared in many media outlets. As both the Regional News Editor for CNBC Asia/Pacific in Singapore, and Anchor and Producer at CNN International, he covered stories ranging from the Balkan War and Millennium celebrations, to the War Against Terror, and Asian Tsunami. An active writer, he co-authored the business marketing book "Happy Customers Everywhere," and contributed to "The American Journey in Singapore", and five editions of the "Living in Singapore Reference Guide."

Glenn sits on the Boards of the East-West Center (Honolulu, HI) and the Asian American Journalist Association (Asia). He holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Media Management from Teesside University (UK)/Hyper Island Singapore and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California. Glenn and wife Kat Hawthorne van Zutphen have been Singapore Permanent Residents since 2005 and have two children.
