Join us on Friday mornings for a breakfast dialogue with our Board of Governors. This Series, Breakfast with the Board, will feature one AmCham Governor in each session, giving members the opportunity to hear about their professional journeys and their companies and engage with our Governors first-hand on how they became part of the AmCham community. The sessions will be moderated by AmCham CEO, Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei.

We will be hosting Jannik Termansen, Director, Government Affairs & Markets for 3M Asia Pacific for our next session. Jannik will share insights on how his professional journey led him from a career in government to executive positions in the private sector, working for both European and American companies and spanning multiple industry sectors. He will discuss the value AmCham has brought to him and his company, including how 3M focuses on creating public value through partnerships with governments and civil society.

Speakers

Jannik Termansen

Director, Government Affairs & Markets of 3M Technologies (S) Pte Ltd

Jannik leads 3M’s Government Affairs & Markets function across more than 10 countries in Asia Pacific. He and his team collaborate with governments and public financial institutions across the region within areas such as Public Health, Infrastructure, Smart & Healthy Cities, Transportation, and Energy.

Jannik is a Board Governor at Singapore American Chamber of Commerce, where is assigned to the new Committee for Sustainability and the Environment. For the past two years, he has also served as the Chair of the US-ASEAN Business Council’s Regional Infrastructure Committee. With 3M, Jannik has been part of AmCham since 2016. By drawing on his knowledge from multiple industry sectors and extensive collaboration with governments in the region, he is dedicated to actively contribute to AmCham’s strategy, programs and advocacy.

Jannik has more than 20 years of work experience from both private and public sector, working in Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to working for 3M, he has held different corporate executive positions, oftentimes in hybridized roles combining commercial and public affairs responsibilities. He has also worked for the Danish Government, serving various ministries and working as a Diplomat. Prior to that, he was trained as an Army officer and was among the first Danish military staff to be posted to the Former Yugoslavia during the war in 1993-94.

Jannik holds an Executive MBA from the US and two Master’s Degrees from the UK and Denmark, respectively. He is married with two children and has been living with his family in Singapore for more than 10 years.
