The Ministry of Health (MOH) is conducting a public consultation to seek views on the proposed Health Information Bill. The Health Information Bill will establish the framework to govern the safe collection, access, use, and sharing of health information across the healthcare ecosystem, to facilitate better continuity and transition of care. MOH will introduce the HIB in the first half of 2024 to achieve three main objectives:
1. Ensure that health information is kept updated, accurate, and accessible
2. Establish a robust framework for the sharing of health information
3. Set out the relevant data security and cybersecurity requirements that healthcare providers must comply with.
Join AmCham for a roundtable discussion on Thursday, January 4, to review and raise any issues or concerns on the key recommendations and roadmap for the proposed Health Information Bill. Depending on member feedback, AmCham may consolidate and submit AmCham feedback to MOH thereafter.
If you have any written feedback on the proposed Health Information Bill, you are welcome to send the feedback to the External Affairs Team at ea@amcham.com.sg by Monday, January 9, 2024. For more information on the Health Information Bill please visit:
