Good role models are essential in leading the way on achieving and delivering meaningful gender diversity, equity and inclusion.
The AmCham Women HERo Awards program was created to identify, highlight and celebrate those who made the commitment and delivered on their promise to advance women leaders and to eliminate unconscious bias and outright sexism.
This year, the AmCham Women HERo Awards will recognize the achievements of individuals and companies across four award categories, both MNCs and SMEs separately for each category: (1) Trailblazer of the Year; (2) Ally of the Year; (3) Young Change Maker; and (4) Outstanding Achievement for Gender Inclusion.
To celebrate, we will congratulate winners and recognize everyone's heroic achievements at an engaging gala dinner which will be graced by our Guest of Honor, Professor Leo Yee-Sin, Executive Director of the National Centre for Infectious Diseases, Singapore.
Prof Leo has led her team through multiple outbreaks in Singapore, including Nipah in 1999, SARS in 2003, the pandemic influenza in 2009, Zika in 2016 and multiple surges of Dengue. She is also well-published and has received multiple accolades, including several National Day awards. She was also recently inducted into the Singapore Women's Hall of Fame and has been conferred the title of Knight of the French Order of the Legion of Honour.
