Event Details

According to the IMF Climate Change Indicators Dashboard, annual global greenhouse gas emissions has rebounded last year to a new record and eclipsed the pre-pandemic peak, with the manufacturing and energy sector being the biggest contributors. COP27 will be focusing on three key areas โ€“ Reducing emissions; Helping countries prepare for and deal with climate change; and Securing technical support and funding for developing countries. It will lay out critical next steps to pressing issues such as climate finance, sustainability, public-private cooperation, and innovative technologies.

With COP27's strong emphasis on moving from negotiation to execution, it is imperative that businesses adapt and take advantage of the momentum to implement climate solutions. With financing being a stickler point in COP26, climate financing is also expected to be a major focus this year.

Join AmCham as a panel of experts discuss crucial observations from COP27 and the implications to business.
