Event Details
Tech Talks is a new monthly series by the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Committee to explore a wide range of tech topics. Each month, the TMT Committee will be inviting experts for an introduction on technology trends you would like to know more about.
Following the Tech Talks sessions on data and AI, a common question that popped up was on security and privacy. Adopting technology and digitization is the future for businesses. COVID has ramped up digitization and decentralization of data access due to remote work and showed the benefits of quick data sharing in evolving situations. From healthcare to supply chain, more and more businesses are embarking on digitization and modernization efforts. Cross regional and cross organizational data sharing has the potential to push organizations to be more data driven and in turn more innovative. However, with increasing mindfulness of data privacy, what are the security policies that organizations need to put in place to ensure safe and secure data sharing?
While digitization and data sharing is the way forward, the digitization process also comes with risks of cyber threats which critical sectors such as supply chain and healthcare cannot afford to be vulnerable to. As organizations shape more digitized platforms and remote or hybrid workspaces, what are the best practices for organizations to build in security policies and strengthen data privacy into these environments while bolstering consumer confidence?
Join us for a sharing session, good conversations and even better networking on Wednesday afternoons!
