Pratima V Sharma

Gavin Chua heads stakeholder engagement for Meta in APAC to support the growth of digital/AI infrastructure in the region. He sponsors social and economic impact programs in relation to AI, digital skills, and sustainability.

Gavin also serves as vice-chair of SGTech, leading trade association for Singapore’s tech industry. In that capacity Gavin serves on SkillsFuture Singapore’s AI Skills & Training Committee and Singapore Business Federation’s Smart Technology Action Committee.

Prior to Meta, Gavin was a partner at Control Risks advising multinationals on business risks as they invested in emerging markets. Early in his career he co-founded a data analytics start-up and gained experiences from the Singapore civil service (PM’s Office), university teaching (SUSS), and think tank advocacy (SIIA).

Mei May is a highly accomplished AI leader with over two decades of experience in Data Science and AI, having been named as the Top 10 CAIO, #1 Top AI Leader in APAC, Top 10 Women in Tech APAC, Top 50 Women Tech Leader in APAC and many more. As the lead of Dell Technologies’ AI/ML initiatives for Global Presales, she works closely with customers to solve problems scientifically and objectively, exemplified by her team's design and development of a Deep Learning model that recognizes and identifies different types of corals for the conservation of the Great Barrier Reef. Her leadership and innovation in this project were recognized in CIO World Asia. Another AI initiative with a Singapore university to develop a Smart Fundraising machine learning model led to the winning of two Circle of Excellence awards (Global Grand Gold and Best Asia Pacific).

Prior to joining Dell Technologies, Mei May led the data science team at Cisco Systems, where she discovered that people, not data, are at the centre of everything. She strives to connect the two worlds by incorporating elements of humanity and behavioural sciences in the interpretation of data. As such she is able to explain complex data concepts to stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

Mei May's passion for promoting diversity and inclusion has seen her lead the Singapore Chapter of Dell Technologies’ Women in Action employee resource group (ERG), working toward the organisation’s 2030 goals of 50% of its global workforce and 40% of its global people leaders being those who identify as women. As the lead for the Mentoring pillar within WIA Singapore, she champions the flagship cross-company cross-industry mentoring program, MentorConnect, which has benefited over 400 mentees early in leadership from 15 partner companies.

Mei May leads the AI Innovation Hub for Dell Technologies where she works closely with customers and partners to advance their AI journey and make their Return-on-Investment real. She has multiple accolades to her name as an accomplished leader in the AI space.

Pratima is a visionary senior executive with extensive experience at the intersection of technology strategy and business transformation. Known for her ability to drive impactful, multi-million-dollar digital transformation initiatives across FMCG and High-Tech sectors, she has consistently delivered exceptional results that align technological innovation with business growth.
Her journey began in supply chain management, where she developed a deep understanding of operational efficiency at top consulting firms. She later held leadership positions in PepsiCo and Apple.
As the Global Data Operations leader for Apple's AIML organization, Pratima oversaw the scaling of a 3,500+ workforce during the pandemic, delivering vast amounts of data to fuel machine learning models for SIRI and other cutting-edge large language models (LLMs). Her work at the forefront of data operations and AI integration has positioned her as a key leader in the evolving AI landscape.
Building on her expertise in digital transformation, supply chain management, and data operations, Pratima is dedicated to advancing AI-driven innovation across various sectors, including non-profits. She is committed to fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement, enabling organizations to not only scale but also create lasting, positive impacts in their communities.
Outside of her professional work, she is passionate about mentoring emerging leaders, advocating for diversity in the workplace, and volunteering for community-driven initiatives, particularly in gerontology and accessibility. When she’s not championing tech and leadership, she enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring new cultures through travel.
