Hui Min has 25 years of experience as a tax counsel with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. Hui Min was for more than 15 years a Director/Branch Head in the Law Division of the IRAS. Her responsibilities included reviewing legal advice, submissions and legislative amendments of tax statutes prepared by the Law Division. She also represented the Authority in civil litigation.
Before joining IRAS in 1995, Hui Min was a member of the Singapore Administrative Service where her postings included the Ministry of Finance and Prime Minister’s Office. As a Deputy Director in the Public Service Division, her portfolio included human resource policy formulation and related legislative review.
Professor Annie Koh is Professor Emeritus of Finance (Practice) at Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University (SMU). She is a renowned conference speaker, panel moderator and commentator. In addition to being a member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on New Agenda for Work, Wages and Job Creation, Professor Koh also chairs the Asian Bond Fund 2 supervisory committee of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. She is currently a board member of Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd, PBA Group, AMTD International Inc., AMTD Digital, Prime US REIT and Prudential Assurance Company Singapore Pte Ltd, and serves on the Customs Advisory Council and HR Transformation Advisory Panel. Professor Koh chairs the TAFEP Awards and advises a number of startup firms. She previously served on GovTech, Singapore’s CPF, HMI and K1 Ventures boards.
Professor Koh’s previously held positions at SMU include Vice President for Business Development;V3 Group Professor of Family Entrepreneurship; Professor of Finance (Practice); Academic Director of Business Families Institute and International Trading Institute; Associate Dean, Lee Kong Chian School of Business; and Dean, Office of Executive and Professional Education. Professor Koh received a Ph.D. degree in International Finance with Fulbright scholarship from Stern School of Business, New York University in 1988. Her research interests are in Family Office and Family Business, Investor Behaviour, Alternative Investments and Enterprise Risk Management. She co-authored Financial Management: Theory and Practice, An Asia Edition (2014), and Financing Internationalisation – Growth Strategies for Successful Companies (2004), and author of a number of Asian family business cases and survey reports. In recognition of her contribution to education and the public sector, she was awarded the bronze and silver Singapore Public Administration medal in 2010 and 2016 respectively, and the Adult Education Prism Award in 2017.
Ven Sreenivasan is a veteran journalist with Singapore Press Holdings. He has covered financial markets, economic & corporate news and aviation for almost 30 years. Currently he is an Associate Editor of the Straits Times. Before that, he was the News Editor of the Business Times and Executive Editor of SPH Radio.
Ven started his career in 1987 in government service as an economist/industry analyst at the National Productivity Board, a unit of the Ministry of Trade & Industry where he served for over 5 years. Ven has a Masters Degree in Economics and Finance. He finished schooling at Temasek Junior College prior to National Service 1978.
Walter Edgar Theseira is Associate Professor of Economics, School of Business, Singapore University of Social Sciences; and Adjunct Senior Research Fellow, Asia Competitiveness Institute, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. His Ph.D. is in Applied Economics and Managerial Science from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. His areas are applied microeconomics, behavioural, and experimental economics. His research has been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organisation.
His policy research covers housing integration with the Ministry of National Development, vehicle quota auctions with the Land Transport Authority, and the Singapore Retirement and Health Survey. He has advised the Economist Service of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of National Development, the Ministry of Social and Family Development, and with the Civil Service College. He was a Nominated Member of Parliament in the 13th Parliament of Singapore.
Salvatore is a qualified Certified Public accountant in Italy and gained substantial experience in strategic, commercial and operational advice for large European corporations investing in Asia.
Salvatore supervises and coordinates the accounting and tax team, advising local and international clients in Singapore, Malaysia and China, with a main focus on Industrial Investments, Oil & Gas, ICT and Luxury.
