Event Details

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. In recent months, there has been a surge in incidences of violence against the AAPI community in the U.S., which has been denounced by the Biden Administration and has stepped up government efforts to combat racial crimes. The U.S. has made it clear that it is committed to upholding multiculturalism and will continue to be an important place for international employees to gain training and work experience.

Join AmCham as we hear from Asian American leaders on their work experiences in the U.S., and explore how organizations can help their employees prepare for living and working in the U.S.

The session will also encourage business leaders to support the AAPI Business Leaders pledge - Stand with Asian Americans to fight violence against Asians and to stop the hate; recognize the intersectionality of racial and gender based hate; to work for justice and to end discrimination and violence against the Asian community and all marginalized communities can be put into practice.
